The concept model in the production version. Welcome the new Audi Q8.
The design of the car remained true to the 2017 concept. The whole body remained unchanged, and only slightly changed crowding and calmed down the details.
At the back, there is light, characteristic of the new Audi models, throughout the length of the boot flap. In this model it is not so striking because it has been cleverly levelled with black blend.
The interior has been adapted from the top Audi A8, the dashboard has air vents across its full width and the infotainment system uses two huge touchscreens. As with other models from the German manufacturer, the screen can also be found at the wheel instead of the traditional clocks.
The car is huge, but its exact dimensions are not officially confirmed. It will probably be the same size as the twin Lamborghini Urus, which is 5113 mm (201.3 in) long, 2017 mm (79.4 in) wide and 1638 mm (64.5 in) high and has a wheelbase of 3002 mm (118.2 in). Meanwhile it is known that the boot capacity is 605 l (21.3 cubic feet) and 1755 l (61.9 cubic feet) when the backrests are folded down.
Under the hood of Audi Q8 will work petrol engines and hybrids based on diesel engine. During the debut, three drive units will be available – gasoline, 3-litre V6 with 340 PS (250 kW / 335 hp) and two 3.0 TDI engines with 231 PS (170 kW / 228 PS) and 286 PS (210 kW / 282 hp).
More details about the new model will be available tomorrow after the official launch of the car in Shanghai.
